    What can PRP do?

This treatment will help make your skin plumper, soften fine wrinkles and it gives a more radiant, rejuvenated complexion. The treatment also helps to stimulate collagen, which gives skin a more youthful appearance. PRP is also an ideal solution for textural improvement, scar treatment and tackling otherwise challenging dark eye circles or crêpey skin under the eyes.

We can also use PRP in the hear to treat alopecia patches or generalised hairloss and thinning.

How long does the treatment take?

The procedure usually takes 60-90 minutes dependent upon how many areas are treated and whether it is combined with other treatments.

It involves taking a small quantity of your own blood and harvesting its nutrient-rich plasma using a centrifuge. These platelets ,once activated, release many ‘growth factors’ (proteins that stimulate cell repair and growth) – which are then immediately injected directly into your skin and area of concern, using a fine needle, a cannula, derma roller or dermapen. We can also use PRP for mesotherapy techniques all over the face and neck.

    Does the PRP treatment hurt?

The PRP treatment with cannula is virtually painless and recovery time is minimal, most patients are comfortable to return to their daily activities soon after their treatment.

If, however, it is combined with micro-needling we use a topical numbing cream and you may experience a small amount of scabbing, bruising and swelling which may last a few days.

What results can I expect and when?

You can expect great improvements in your fine lines and wrinkles, with thicker and plumper skin and an overall improvement of skin quality. Typically these results will be seen just a few short weeks after a series of 3 sessions 6 weeks apart.

Improvements in hair growth and thickness are visible within 3 months after 4-6 sessions which are spread over the six to nine months period.

A reduction in the appearance of scars and stretch marks which will fade over 3-6 months when combined with other treatments, which are microneedling and HA.
