Overdevelopment of the chewing muscles can make the face wider and more masculine than we would like. This condition is usually caused by a congenitally large jaw bone, or by enlargement of the masseter muscle, which increases in its size as it is exercised (chewing gum, clenching and grinding teeth).
The masseter muscle is one of the biggest chewing muscles and runs from the cheekbone to the top of the jawbone and it can give your jaw an enlarged and wide appearance. At REclinic, we can in certain instances, use Botox to relax overdeveloped muscles to give your face a slimmer and softer shape.

In this blog, we explore why skin, muscle, fat and bone all age together — and why a whole face approach creates the most natural, balanced results.
